Both Botox and Dysport are FDA-approved and have been safely used for over 20 years. The active ingredient, Botulinum toxin type A, works by blocking the nerve impulses in the targeted facial muscles, causing them to relax, which smooths static wrinkles and prevents future wrinkles from developing.

What Can I Expect
with a Tox Injection?
During your initial consultation, one of our skilled injectors will review your health history to make sure you’re a good candidate for tox treatment. Then, after discussing your aesthetic goals and which facial areas you’d like to target, the injector can evaluate facial movement and recommend a treatment plan.
After cleansing and sterilizing the treatment areas, tiny amounts of tox are injected into various facial muscles. The amount of product used and the areas of injection depend on your specific facial anatomy and desired outcome. Injections are administered using a tiny needle, causing only a slight pinch of discomfort. Treatment is quite tolerable and lasts only 5 to 15 minutes.
After treatment, it is best to avoid exercising for at least three hours and refrain from lying down for at least four hours. You should also avoid getting a facial or head massage for at least a full day. Doing any of these too early can cause the tox to migrate to other areas of your face, leading to a less-than-optimal result.
